The top3 digital timers are ideal for the time-based switching of LED lighting applications such as street lighting, advertising or display window lighting or for controlling public building and carpark lighting, as well as for pool heating, ventilation systems, pumps and fountains, and many other applications.
Top3 takes LED time control to a new level with its redesigned zero-cross switching, which keeps the high inrush currents of LEDs firmly under control to protect the contact surfaces. The new switch is optimised for switching LED, incandescent/ halogen and fluorescent lamp loads and suitable for SELV (Safe Extra-Low Voltage).
Setting up a top3 switch is a lot easier - you can program it directly at the device, with a PC or laptop, or by using the optional Bluetooth OBELISK top3 dongle and free downloadable Android or iOS smartphone app.
Switching programs can be transferred to the top3 devices via a Bluetooth low-energy dongle, the Bluetooth Obelisk top3. This memory stick makes the transfer and delivers direct commands from the app to the time switch quickly and securely.
The low-energy dongle technology offers significant tamper-proof safety advantages compared to permanently installed Bluetooth receivers such as in schools, public places or in the street lighting columns.
The low-energy top3 technology has been proven in smart home applications and significantly reduces standby power consumption, saving money.
Time switch programs can also be directly saved in the cloud via the app, be sent via email, or transferred between smartphones. They can even be securely transferred to a top3 device prior to installation simply by plugging in a top3 dongle in battery mode. A power connection is not required. Once you remove the dongle the device is protected from unauthorised wireless access. PIN code security is also standard across the range.
Supplied by Hamer, Theben top3 TR series time switches are fully and backwardly compatible with top2 devices thanks to the identical terminal layout. You can upgrade simply and quickly to top3 without rewiring. Available in 1 or 2 channel timer options.
